En primer lugar, El libro de Reyes es una narración de textura compleja que entrelaza acervo literario, arte narrativo, información histórica y reflexión teológica con vistas a trazar la historia de la actuación de Dios

en la historia de dos reinos, Israel y Judá, fundados sobre grandes promesas divinas.

Sin embargo, en tanto que entidades políticas, como cualquier otro reino acaban desapareciendo.

Ademas, ¿Por que? Esta es una de las preguntas que se hace especialmente 2 Reyes.

Por lo mismo, Y aunque el texto parece pintar un cuadro en blanco y negro -la única culpa es la desobediencia

a la Alianza del pueblo y especialmente de sus reyes-, en resumen, el hilo narrativo se encarga de introducir

tonos y colores que matizan mucho la respuesta monocolor, ofreciendo así un análisis más realista y, sobre todo, proporcionando a la comunidad de fe pistas para redescubrir la esencia de la fidelidad al Dios de Abrahán,

de Isaac y de Jacob.

The book of Kings is a narrative with a complex texture that interweaves literary heritage, narrative art,

historical information and theological reflection with a view to tracing the history of God’s action in history

of two kingdoms, Israel and Judah, founded on great divine promises. However, as political entities,

like any other kingdom, they end up disappearing. Because? This is one of the questions that 2 Kings especially asks. And although the text seems to paint a black and white picture – the only blame is disobedience to the

Alliance of the people and especially their kings – the narrative thread is responsible for introducing tones and

colors that greatly qualify the monochrome response, thus offering a more realistic analysis and, above all, providing the community of faith with clues to rediscover the essence of the fidelity to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
