Un Hombre Segun El Corazon De Dios. Cuando hablamos con la gente acerca de David, a menudo el comentario que se oye es: “Bueno, él también tuvo sus fallos”, y con este juicio han despachado a uno de los hombres más cercanos al corazón de Dios que jamás ha vivido. Para ver el corazón de David tenemos que sumergirnos en los salmos. Hemos de escuchar sus oraciones y ser conscientes de sus sentimientos.

Debemos acompañarle a la batalla, pasar las noches con él enfrentando los peligros del desierto y sentir sus emociones al tener un ejército buscándole para matarle. El corazón de David es el que vemos en los salmos. Este era el auténtico David, no el que vemos en lo externo de todo lo que le pasó, ni mucho menos el que vemos en sus pecados.

Nuestros pecados perdonados no nos definen. ¡Nunca podemos enfatizar esto lo suficiente! Dios no los ve, han desaparecido en el gran olvido de Dios. Nos ha lavado y nos ha hecho más blancos que la nieve. Nos ve en Cristo, con la justicia de Cristo. El pecado se ha ido y lo que queda de nosotros es la parte redimida, lo que realmente somos, nuestro corazón; y esto es lo que ve Dios.

 

 

A Man According to the Heart of God.

When we talk to people about David, often the comment you hear is, «Well, he had his faults, too,» and with this judgment they have dispatched one of the men closest to God’s heart who ever lived. To see the heart of David we have to immerse ourselves in the psalms.

We have to listen to their prayers and be aware of their feelings. We must accompany him to battle, spend the nights with him facing the dangers of the desert and feel his emotions at having an army looking for him to kill him. David’s heart is the one we see in the psalms. This was the real David, not the one we see externally in everything that happened to him, much less the one we see in his sins.

Our forgiven sins do not define us. We can never stress this enough! God does not see them, they have disappeared in the great oblivion of God. He has washed us and made us whiter than snow. He sees us in Christ, with the righteousness of Christ. Sin has gone and what remains of us is the redeemed part, what we really are, our heart; and this is what God sees.
