En primer lugar, este libro forma parte de un contexto histórico del antiguo cercano oriente. Ningún otro Pais ha contado con personas que puedan comparárseles.

Así mismo, el papel relevante que los Profetas de Israel desempeñaron respecto  la condiciona  religiosa del pueblo nunca se enfatizaran demasiado. Es cierto que a

pesar de su influencia, fue considerable el grado en que el pueblo se aparto de la Ley de Dios.

Pero sin ellos esta defección habría sido mucho mas extensa.

De este ilustre grupo los mas conocidos fueron los Profetas escritores, es decir,

aquellos cuyos libros Proféticos abarcan una parte importante del Antiguo Testamento.

Es importante, sin embargo, percatarse de que esos no fueron los únicos representantes

del profetismo de Israel.

 Dios desde el comienzo de la historia de Israel , llamo al ministerio profético a varios hombres, y los primeros representantes de la clase profética fueron en sus respectivas circunstancias tan importantes como lo fueron los que escribieron libros proféticos.

El libro se divide en dos partes, la primera se trata temas comunes del movimiento profético general, y la segunda parte trata de los profetas mismos en forma personal.

Dado que los profetas se dividen en tres grupos se les considera así en la segunda parte.

First of all, this book is part of a historical context of the ancient Near East.

No other country has had people who can compare to them. The relevant role that the Prophets of Israel played regarding the religious condition of the people cannot be overemphasized. It is true that despite their influence, the degree to which the people

deviated from the Law of God was considerable. But without them this defection would

have been much more extensive. Of this illustrious group, the best known were the Prophet writers, that is, those whose Prophetic books cover an important part of the Old Testament.

 

It is important, however, to realize that these were not the only representatives of Israel’s prophethood. God, from the beginning of the history of Israel, called various men to the prophetic ministry, and the first representatives of the prophetic class were in their respective circumstances as important as those who wrote prophetic books. The book is divided into

two parts, the first deals with common themes of the general prophetic movement, and the second part deals with the prophets themselves personally. Since the prophets are divided

into three groups, they are considered this way in the second part.
